Just For Laughs Presents Conversations with Funny People with Ronny Chieng and Roy Wood, Jr.

The Just for Laughs is presenting Conversations with Funny People, featuring comedian Ronny Chieng taking to the virtual stage for a live, unscripted and never-before seen conversation with his office mate and expert guide to American urban and comedy culture over the last 5 years,  comedian Roy Wood, Jr.

Ronny Chieng is a stand-up comedian, actor and Correspondent on the Daily Show with Trevor Noah. He was also one of the stars of the worldwide hit movie Crazy Rich Asians and has appeared on the “Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” the “Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon,” and in the New York Times, and GQ. Ronny co-wrote and starred in his own sitcom “Ronny Chieng: International Student” which is currently airing on Comedy Central and Netflix. In December 2019 Ronny released his debut smash hit Netflix Stand Up Comedy Special “Asian Comedian Destroys America”. He recently wrapped on the Chen Xi Hao’s Chinatown Noir Thriller, A Father’s Son, where he plays Detective Jack Yu.

Lia Chang is an actor, a multi-media content producer and co-founder of Bev’s Girl Films, making films that foster inclusion and diversity on both sides of the camera. Bev’s Girl Films’ debut short film, Hide and Seek was a top ten film in the Asian American Film Lab’s 2015 72 Hour Shootout Filmmaking Competition, and she received a Best Actress nomination. BGF collaborates with and produces multi-media content for artists, actors, designers, theatrical productions, composers,  musicians and corporations. Lia has appeared in the films Wolf, New Jack City, A Kiss Before Dying, King of New York, Big Trouble in Little China, The Last Dragon, Taxman. She stars in and served as Executive Producer for the short independent films Hide and Seek, Balancing Act, Rom-Com Gone Wrong, Belongingness and When the World was Young. She is also the Executive Producer for The Cactus, The Language Lesson, The Writer and Cream and 2 Shugahs.
