World Premiere Screening of Juney Smith’s Documentary Film “King Arthur and The Count” on March 30

The World Premiere Screening of the Documentary Film “King Arthur and The Count,” a story of Theatre and African Americans on Broadway, will be held at the Anthology Film Archives, 32 2nd Avenue, New York, NY 10003 on Monday, March 30 at 7pm. Doors open at 6:30pm. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased online.

The film stars Arthur French (The Trip to Bountiful), Count Stovall (Cat On A Hot Tin Roof), Marie Thomas (Don’t Bother Me I Can’t Cope), Richard Wesley (The Mighty Gents), Dominique Morisseau (Ain’t Too Proud), Ricardo Khan (Artistic Director, Crossroads Theatre), Stephen C. Byrd (Ain’t Too Proud) and Alia Jones- Harvey (Ain’t Too Proud). Directed by Juney Smith. Executive Producers Amianna Stovall and Glynn Turman.

There will be a Reception immediately after the screening with Hors d’oeuvres and Wine, all included with the ticket purchase.

Lia Chang is an actor, a multi-media content producer and co-founder of Bev’s Girl Films, making films that foster inclusion and diversity on both sides of the camera. Bev’s Girl Films’ debut short film, Hide and Seek was a top ten film in the Asian American Film Lab’s 2015 72 Hour Shootout Filmmaking Competition, and she received a Best Actress nomination. BGF collaborates with and produces multi-media content for artists, actors, designers, theatrical productions, composers,  musicians and corporations. Lia has appeared in the films Wolf, New Jack City, A Kiss Before Dying, King of New York, Big Trouble in Little China, The Last Dragon, Taxman. She stars in and served as Executive Producer for the short films Rom-Com Gone Wrong, When the World was Young, Belongingness, Balancing Act and Hide and Seek.
